Vegetarian food, reviewed.

A middle aged man who has suffered far too many mushroom risottos, here to guide you through the good and the bad in the recent explosion in vegetarian (and vegan) food.

I’ve been vegetarian for over 35 years, and would like to think I’ve tried most things. Only a few years ago options were limited to Quorn (an absolute live saver when it came out) and a few supermarket own brand equivalents. A few years before that, any sort of ‘replacement’ burger or sausage was of the ‘vegetables compressed into required shape’ variety. But no more!

These days there seems to be a new option every week, and I’m here to eat them for you and sort the meat from the gaffe.
